Black Tiger fighter Mike Miranda wins in Illinois, USA

Mike Miranda, Black Tiger Muay Thai

Excerpt from Chicago's MMA:

"Black Tiger Muay Thai’s Mike Miranda displayed power and accuracy with knee strikes that spoiled the trip east for Miletich Fighting Systems’ Patrick Milder.

Miranda hurt Milder in round one with a well-placed knee to the body. Miranda took Milder down and into side control, but he lost position and Milder wasted no time in taking Miranda’s back and sinking in a rear-naked choke. Miranda was able to defend and get back to his feet. The round ended and Milder slumped to the canvas in his corner breathing very heavily, while Miranda looked calm and fresh.

Miranda came out in round two and again landed beautiful knees to Milder’s midsection that dropped the fighter to the mat. Miranda seized the moment and cinched up a guillotine that ended the fight just :20 into the round."

Back To School, Back to Training!

Black Tiger Fight and Fitness Club welcomes everyone back from summer vacation. We are back in action with the same - and more - fun programs and classes. Starting Monday August 5, classes will resume at our Riviera Plaza location. We have spent this past summer streamlining, improving and upgrading our programs as well as our training facility.

Black Belt Program for Kids

Black Belt ProgramA big change is in our Kids Martial Arts program. We have developed a new, dynamic and well-structured kids training curriculum called "The Black Belt Program." This is a mixed martial arts program using a similar, traditional colored belt ranking system as Karate, Taekwondo, Jiu-jitsu and other martial arts. The Black Belt is the universal symbol of excellence in martial arts around the world. Our new program combines various martial arts into one seamless training system that is fun, safe and highly effective for kids. Our Senior Coach and program director, Jun Tenaja, is a 6th Degree Master Black Belt with more than 25 years teaching experience. He is also one of the highest ranked Muay Thai instructors from the Philippines.
